Flexible tubes & Fittings for Industrial use (Model-001 & Model-002)
Flexible tubes are used as flexible joints absorbing vibration of piping system and dislocation of the pipes. They are also used for gas pipes inside buildings and pipes for drinking water. Metal flexible tubes are classified into two types: annular type and helical type. A tube of annular type has an excellent flexibility and is easy to be connected with joint while it has a drawback of strong fluid resistance. A tube of helical type is not as flexible as annular type tubes and connection with the joints is quite complicated. But it has less fluid resistance compared with annular type tube and has an excellent spring characteristics. So, one of the two types can be selected and used depending on the usage.
Helical type flexible tube & Fitting (KS marked item for cold and hot water) (Model-003)
Dong-A’s stainless steel corrugated tubes, which is approved by UL(USA), RWTUV(Germany) and is certified as quality products with NET, KS(KSD3628) by the Korean government, are supplied in a roll up to 1,200m and used for water piping system inside buildings. The corrugation pitch is slightly wider to reduce the fluid resistance and thus generate no vibration or noise. It connects with screw-in-field type of fitting with cone packing (NBR, E.P.D.M, Silicon, Graphite).
Annular type flexible tube & Fitting (KS marked item for cold and hot water) (Model-004)
Dong-A’s stainless steel corrugated tubes, which are approved by UL(USA), RWTUV(Germany) and are certified as quality products with NET, KS(KSD3628) by the Korean government, are supplied in a roll up to 1,200m for easy speedy inexpensive installation. As no connecting point exists on the tubes except both ends of the tube, there is no fear of leakage. The screw-in type connection with NBR, EPDM, Silicon, or Copper packing doesn’t require any tool for installation.
Flexible metal hose (CSST) & fitting for gas system (KS marked item, KGS certification) (Model-005)
Dong-A’s stainless steel flexible hose for gas system, which is approved by UPC(USA ANSI), CSA (CANADA) and is certified as quality products with NET, KS(KSD3625) uniquely by the Korean government, is supplied in endless role type and gas connector type. Corrugated Stainless Steel Tube (CSST ANSI LC 1a), which is coated with ultraviolet resistant & non-flammable synthetic resin, is internationally certified piping material to be buried inside buildings. As it is supplied in a set with its own fittings, it is the best gas piping material to be used safely and semi-permanently.
Flexible tube & Fitting for heat exchanger (Model-006)
Endless roll type of helical type corrugated tube, which is approved by UL(USA), RWTUV(Germany) and is certified only as a quality product with NET, KS(KSD3628) by the Korean government, is the ideal product for a heat exchanger.
The plate pincoil for a heat exchanger is expensive as its manufacturing process is very complicated, and weak in corrosion.
Hence, it is increasingly replaced by the helical type corrugated tubes for a heat exchanger developed by Dong-A, which has a narrow-pitch, and a higher peak. (Product specifications are subject to the customers’ particulars.)
Flexible connector for fuel gas (Model-007)
The corrugated tube which is approved by UPC(USA), ANSI(American standard), CSA(Canadian standard), RWTUV(Germany) and is quality certified as new technology (NET) by Korean government. In order to manufacture gas connector (AISI 221.24) as metal joint type, it is offered with swaging on both ends of annular type stainless steel flexible tube & flare type or flare type metal joint connector.
Fire-fighting sprinkler flexible joint (Model-008)
Conventional sprinkler joints have more than 6 spots of jointing with the risk of water leakage as their elbow and reducer are assembled and connected after screw processing is done on the tips of the both sides of a steel pipe. It is quite hard to adjust location of the sprinkler head up or down or right or left. Also, installation of the equipment on the narrow ceiling requires high-skilled construction workers and long time due to the obstacles of the structure such as air-cooling, heating ducts, electricity and communications facilities.
Sprinkler flexible joints supplied by Dong-A has obtained quality certification from UL, FM(USA), VdS(Germany), FESC(Japan) and KFI(Korea), and are used for high pressure as their nipples, reducer, and stainless steel flexible tubes are all combined in one body. With only two joint points, the risk of water leakage has greatly reduced. And as it is flexible, even unskilled workers will find it easy to work with the tubes. It can cut down installation costs dramatically with the time spent for the construction greatly reduced by more than 20 times than that of steel pipe type. With the quality certificate obtained in U.S.A., Britain, Germany, and Japan, the high quality of this sprinkler system has been widely proven.
Stainless steel pipe with partial corrugation for water works (also used for automobile) (Model-009)
We are using AISI 304 or 316L pipe (stainless steel pipe for the general piping with KSD 3595) which are excellent for durability and corrosion resistance in order to form the corrugation and then we perform the heat-treatment solution.
So they are the best hygienic piping materials.They are very economical piping materials that can reduce the construction period.
As thick flexible pipes, they are piping materials with good function of absorbing shocks from earthquake, ground subsidence, and vibration.
As no elbows are adopted, there is no leakage of water and they can be bent with bare hands and can be easily used for any construction situations.
